Frictape announces HMS Repeater Light solution to meet new UK CAA Requirements

Following latest revision of CAP437 standards, UK CAA will require from April 1st 2021 that all moving helidecks (vessels & rigs) are equipped with a Helideck Monitoring System (or HMS) repeater light system. New repeater lights need to be installed / located on each corner of the helideck and be connected to the HMS (system which monitors motion status of the helideck as well as relevant weather-related data) in order to provide guidance to helicopter pilots for safe operations. Think of it as “traffic lights” showing the helideck operational status before and after helicopter landings.

After the global success of our Circle & H Netlight solution, we are launching Frictape HMS repeater lights to enable our customers to comply with the new standards. As with Netlight, simple, smart and low cost design combined with longest lifetime is our approach to provide the most cost-efficient solution for our clients.
